This sweet 5 year old female pekingese mix came to us from the good folks at  Yolo County Animal Sevices.  Shen was found as a stray in a rural part of Yolo county and not claimed by an owner.  When she came in  she was looking a bit rough but after a few weeks with us, she looks great and she is a sweet and happy dog. Shen is spayed, heartworm negative, dewormed and up to date on all her shots. This little darling is very social with people (including kids!) and has a gorgeous soft red coat. She is housebroken, loves attention, loves cuddling and belly rubs, and enjoys going out for walks. She does fine with other dogs but because her vision is impaired, she needs a polite introduction. We think Shen may have had a kitty friend in her old home because she desperately wants to play with the  cats in her foster home. Shen is as cute as can be, but like many Pekingese, she has chronic dry eye and will require eye drops for the rest of her life.  Because this condition was never treated by her former owners, she has lost much of her vision, but she is a brave little spirit, gets around just fine is is a happy and content little dog.   Things have been a little tough in the past for this darling girl , so now its time for her to have some TLC and the forever home she deserves.  If you're looking for a quiet, gentle little dog who doesn't require a whole lot of exercise and will just love, love love you, please visit our website at and fill out an application.
