About Cooper

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 13-0102
  • Color: cream
  • Current Size: 8.7 Pounds
  • Current Age: 5 Years 8 Months (best estimate)
  • Reaction to New People: Cautious

Cooper was found by Moreno Valley Animal Services.  He was badly matted and seemed to have been injured, perhaps by a moving vehicle.  Cooper has some loss of function in his rear legs (possible spinal trauma), but it has improved greatly in the last month and a half.  He still has some weakness, but can now run around quite well, though somewhat clumsily.  His veterinarian believes that Coop may continue to improve, but only time will tell.  Cooper has been through a lot, as you can see, and he is understandably a bit skittish these days.  He needs a person with a gentle touch  and a little patience to make him feel that everything's going to be ok.  Could that be you?  If you'd like to foster or adopt this sweet little boy, please fill out an application at today.

How much does it COST to adopt?

Northern California Family Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation & rehoming of homeless dogs.  Our standard adoption fees are $300-400 for adult dogs and $350-450 for puppies, and occasionally more for rare or purebred dogs.   Your adoption fee includes DA2PP, Bordetella & Rabies vaccines, deworming, flea treatment & heartworm preventative, spay/neuter surgery, microchip &  Wellness Exam, & helps cover the costs of food, transport, veterinary needs, shelter maintenance and staffing for every pup in our care.   We rely solely on adoption fees and donations to keep us going, so we ask that you be as generous as you can!
