Minnie is a young, small pit terrier who was brought to us by someone who found her abandoned in the East Bay. We couldn't resist her soulful eyes and that amazing smile!  According to our not-very-scientific survey, Minnie is one of the most affectionate dogs on the planet. She LOVES everyone and is wonderful with kids, she is gentle, sweet and just loves the company of humans and lots of belly rubs. Since she is still learning her dog manners she belongs in a household where she is the only pet. Alternately curious and cautious, Minnie needs a loving owner with the patience to help her become comfortable with the big, wide world. She's eager to please and will repay that patience with boundless affection. She also loves blueberries, gets VERY excited about walks, loves toys and is a mellow easy going girl.  If you'd like to meet her,  please visit our webpage at and fill out an application

How much does it COST to adopt?

Northern California Family Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation & rehoming of homeless dogs.  Our standard adoption fees are $300-400 for adult dogs and $350-450 for puppies, and occasionally more for rare or purebred dogs.   Your adoption fee includes DA2PP, Bordetella & Rabies vaccines, deworming, flea treatment & heartworm preventative, spay/neuter surgery, microchip &  Wellness Exam, & helps cover the costs of food, transport, veterinary needs, shelter maintenance and staffing for every pup in our care.   We rely solely on adoption fees and donations to keep us going, so we ask that you be as generous as you can!
