Learn more about the Manchester Terrier. Print an adoption flyer for Lily! This tiny girl has had a tough start in life, and deserves a loving home. Here is her story, taken from an email written by her rescuer: " Her name is Lily , and she is about ten weeks old. Lily was born under the foundation of a house during all of those heavy rainstorms (feral mama), and was rescued at about five weeks of age (the house belonged to a friend, and we managed to catch Lily ...the other puppy was eaten by a fox). Lily came to us sick -- she had a partial obstruction from something she ate while living under the house, and she almost died of dehydration and weight loss, so several weeks were involved in recovery after all of that trauma. She was also born handicapped (she is missing her front left foot and her front right foot is somewhat malformed). That being said,
Lily
gets around very well and is a very loving, sweet puppy. She is a bit sound sensitive, and shy (neither surprising), but once she gets comfortable, likes to test the limits like any puppy. She is a fast learner, and is learning to come when called, sit when she wants something, and is learning to calmly be left alone. She also gets along very well with my cat, and wants to get along with my dog (my dog, if you remember, has many behavior issues herself, and doesn't get along smoothly with other dogs). She is highly food motivated, and will be fun for someone to train.
Lily
had been sick/weak for much of her time with us, so I imagine we haven't seen the whole picture of her personality, but so far, she is a fun little dog who loves to fall asleep in your arms."
