Kit was orphaned with her sister, Harriet, when their former owner moved away and decided to to take only two of his four dogs with him. Neighbors report that these two pups have lived outside all of their lives, and we're happy to have rescued them in time for winter! These sisters are a bit shy, understandably, but they are sweet as pie and it takes only a few minutes for them to warm up to new people. We think with proper socialization they will be happy, confident pups in no time at all! If you'd like to meet these special girls, please fill out an application at norcalfamilydogrescue.org.

How much does it COST to adopt?

Northern California Family Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation & rehoming of homeless dogs.  Our standard adoption fees are $300-400 for adult dogs and $350-450 for puppies, and occasionally more for rare or purebred dogs.   Your adoption fee includes DA2PP, Bordetella & Rabies vaccines, deworming, flea treatment & heartworm preventative, spay/neuter surgery, microchip &  Wellness Exam, & helps cover the costs of food, transport, veterinary needs, shelter maintenance and staffing for every pup in our care.   We rely solely on adoption fees and donations to keep us going, so we ask that you be as generous as you can!
