About Han Solo

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 12-0289
  • Ear Type: Natural/Uncropped
  • Current Size: 13.6 Pounds
  • Current Age: 2 Years 7 Months (best estimate)
  • Reaction to New People: Cautious

Han is something like a cherry pie. Outside, a hard shell, difficult to break into - but inside is all ooey gooey sweetness! In other words, he is a bit shy and looks like a 100 year old man, but this becomes all the more endearing when you realize he's just a little 9 month old puppy with a funny hairdo. He loves to play, race around the yard like a little streaker, hunt stuffed animals, and perform special Xolo monkey dances for you. He also makes a wonderful heating pad.

Han is a Toy Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless Dog), a rare and beautiful breed that nearly went extinct in the 1950's. Due to his esteemed heritage and cherry pie exterior, he prefers to avoid adoption events and would rather meet you in person. Send in an application today to meet Han in all his glory!

How much does it COST to adopt?

Northern California Family Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation & rehoming of homeless dogs.  Our standard adoption fees are $300-400 for adult dogs and $350-450 for puppies, and occasionally more for rare or purebred dogs.   Your adoption fee includes DA2PP, Bordetella & Rabies vaccines, deworming, flea treatment & heartworm preventative, spay/neuter surgery, microchip &  Wellness Exam, & helps cover the costs of food, transport, veterinary needs, shelter maintenance and staffing for every pup in our care.   We rely solely on adoption fees and donations to keep us going, so we ask that you be as generous as you can!
