Merlin was rescued from Stanislaus Animal Services, where he was scheduled to be euthanized because they believed he was deaf.  Although dogs with his appearance are often deaf, we don't think there's anything wrong with Merlin's hearing!  Merlin is vision-impaired and cannot see small objects far away, but his other senses seem to function perfectly and he gets around just fine.  He has stunning blue eyes and a beautiful coat, is very affectionate with people, and loves to play with other dogs.  If you would like to give Merlin a second chance on life, fill out an application at norcalfamilydogrescue.org.
