Meet Rico! He is a 3 year old Husky/Shepherd/Collie mix rescued from a high kill shelter in the Central Valley Poor Rico was adopted from Family Dog in February, 2011.  His human recently moved to Mexico and left Rico behind.  For the past two years he has lived with another dog and the people who know him tell us he is good with people including kids, as well as other dogs, including smaller dogs.  Rico is very smart, needs plenty of exercise and does well off leash.  He is a bit of a sensitive soul and is feeling a little anxious these days so he'd love a gentle loving home that would provide him with the training, structure and security he needs.  He has had a backyard for the last two years and if we can find him a home with a yard, that would be great, but isn't necessarily required.  Rico is currently in foster home with kids, dogs and cats and is doing well.   If you'd like to meet this sweet gentleman, please fill out an application on our website at norcalfamilydogrescue.org.
